From leaving her position as Editor In Chief of Vogue Paris in 2010, to creating her own fashion magazine, CR Fashion Book and having a recent beauty collaboration with MAC, it is clear that Carine Roitfeld is a fashion superwoman. What’s the newest thing on her seemingly already heavy plate? She has just been named as the Global Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar.

“This collaboration marks the first time anything like this has been done and we’re very excited about what Carine will bring toBazaar editions around the world,” Hearst’s president and CEO Duncan Edwards said. “She is a visionary in the fashion world and we are so happy to be working with her (Fashionista).”

As I’m sure anyone would be, that is aside from Conde Nast. Given that Roitfeld left Conde Nast when she left French Vogue, we’re sure that she’s the talk in the Conde Nast offices today, First she creates her own magazine, now she teams up with the enemy? Well guess what if she likes it, I love it. I salute her for continually expanding and exploring the many opportunities within the fashion industry.
