H&M has to be the king of fast-fashion and high fashion collaborations! After revealing the glamorous Anna Dello Russo for H&M Look Book last week, the high street retailer has followed up by revealing the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Ad Campaign today. British artist Sam Taylor-Johnson said of the campaign:
“Working with such an anarchic house as Martin Margiela alongside a high-street brand was a challenge that creatively became a crazy, fun project. I wanted to create an atmosphere that was both quiet and still. That each person was in their own emotional and physical thought space. A world away from the heady atmosphere of the usual urban noise.”
Quiet. Still. Powerful.
It’s safe to say that Taylor-Johnson got exactly what he wanted. Now, will I get will I want (the jacket in the first picture)? Hmmm.
