‘Single Ladies’ Drama on The Set, Why Stacey Dash Isn’t Returning and Tonight’s Season Premiere

Tonight is the return of the popular VH1 hit show, ‘Single Ladies’. (When I say popular, I’m not generalizing. I think having nearly 3 million viewers constitutes the show being popular.) We’ve seen the summer themed commercials, and heard the summer fun music, but what has really been going on in the world of ‘Single Ladies’?

Well for one, we’ve heard the rumors about drama on the set. On top of that since we’ve seen the commercials we know that  Stacey Dash won’t be returning. It seems as though the rumors are truths. There was drama on the set of ‘Single Ladies’, between LisaRaye McCoy and Stacey Dash. In an interview with The Daily Beast, McCoy shared her love for Dash saying, “I loved the fact that Stacey and I were both over 40 and starring in this show about women looking for love and enjoying life. How often do you see that? We’re both beautiful women of color looking good and doing well on a show. But Stacey decided not to return.”

However, she also talked about her issues with Dash. “There were issues about just doing the work and not complaining about certain things on set,” said McCoy. “It didn’t make sense to make a big deal over a lot of stuff, and I let her know that. So that created an issue on some level.”

What is ‘Single Ladies’  without Val? I guess we’ll find out tonight. I’ll be tuning in at 9PM, will you?
